When designing his Pix Table (2002), Peter Schaffner had four specific goals: The table had to be multipurpose, timeless and space saving, as well as easy to assemble. The ingenious result is a patented table that has only three parts: a plate (or tabletop) and two x-shaped components that form the base. When assembled, the rim of the plate clicks into place over the stable, four-footed base. To realize his design, Schaffner manufactured Pix on specially developed machines in order to achieve the high level of precision and quality he wanted. The polyester powder coating ensures durable weather- and UV-resistance, and makes Pix suitable for indoor and outdoor use. In less than a minute, Pix can be set up or disassembled and stored flat.
